Alesis SR-16
WELCOME TO MY
ALESIS SR-16
PAGE
A few years back, when I played solo jobs and there were no keyboards with a built in drummer, I purchased the SR-16 to give me the needed drum sounds. I was totally awestruck by the realism of the instruments! However - I specialize in ballroom music. Most of my jobs are for dance clubs whose members have taken extensive classes in
Fox Trot, Waltz, Swing/Jive, Chacha, Rumba, Mambo/Salsa, Merengue, Tango, Samba, Quickstep, Polka, Disco/Hustle and Viennese Waltz.
None of these rhythms were on the original machine!
As I loved the drum sounds produced by the SR-16 I set out to program my own ballroom rhythms.
Even though I now own a Korg PA80 and Yamaha PSR3000 keyboard, which come with a built-in drummer, I still use my SR 16, because of the quality, presence and realism of its instruments!
You can listen to my drum programs by clicking on the various dance beats below.
You will first hear the song without the SR-16 and then the SR-16 will fade in! Enjoy!
IMPORTANT!
(If you don't hear any music you may have to download a FREE program from either
